The Highlands County Health Department is pleased to provide a broad range of high quality personal health services.  A variety of insurances (as well as Medicaid and Medicare) are accepted.  Uninsured clients will be served on a sliding fee scale based on income determined through financial eligibility screening. Services are not denied based on ability to pay.

Eligibility Screening For Medical Services 
Patients will be screened for financial eligibility prior to medical clinical services and issued a clinic card to present at time of service.  Click Eligibility requirements to find a list of items needed for your eligibility appointment. Please call one of our sites if you have questions.

Adult Health Care

Preventative care and chronic disease diagnosis and treatment for adults is provided at all sites. Seniors are welcome! Help with prescription drug assistance program applications is available for our patients.

Pediatric Care

Well child check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of childhood illnesses, school and sports physicals are available for children.
